Terms & Conditions

Last updated 2 August 2026

These terms govern your use of the Equillis Intelligence platform. By creating an account or subscribing you agree to them.

1. The service

The Equillis platform is operated by Equillis Ltd, a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 17383990, trading as Equillis Intelligence.

Equillis provides a subscription platform that analyses published UK vehicle crime data and presents it as risk intelligence — including the Equillis Risk Score (ERS), the UK threat map of the strategic road network, motorway service area scoring, route and area intelligence, and decision support tools.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate registration details and keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity carried out under your account. Accounts are for a single named user; if you need multiple accounts for a team, contact us.

3. Membership, trial and billing

  • Self-serve membership is charged before tax — Starter at £199 per year, Operator at £49 per month or £490 per year, and Fleet at £199 per month or £1,990 per year. Tailored packages for larger fleets, insurers, brokers and data-licensing partners are agreed separately. Applicable tax is added at checkout.
  • New accounts may include a 14-day free trial. You can cancel at any point during the trial without being charged.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. Equillis does not store your card details.
  • You can cancel at any time from your account; access continues until the end of the paid period. Except where required by law, part-months are not refunded.
  • We may change pricing with reasonable notice before your next renewal.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • share your login with others, or resell, sublicense or redistribute the platform or its outputs as a competing product;
  • scrape, bulk-export or systematically extract data from the platform;
  • attempt to circumvent access controls, probe our infrastructure, or interfere with the service;
  • use the intelligence to target, harass or discriminate against any individual, group or community.

5. Nature of the intelligence — important

Equillis outputs are analytical estimates derived from historic published police data. Risk scores are relative indicators, not predictions or guarantees. A "Low" score does not mean an area or road section is safe, and a "Critical" score does not mean a crime will occur.

You remain solely responsible for your operational, routing, parking, security and insurance decisions. Equillis is a decision-support tool and does not replace professional judgement, your own risk assessment, or any legal duty you owe to your drivers or customers.

6. Data sources

The underlying crime data is published UK police open data, used under the terms of the Open Government Licence. Road network geometry is derived from OpenStreetMap contributors' data, © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database Licence. Source data is refreshed periodically and may contain gaps, delays or classification inconsistencies outside our control.

7. Intellectual property

The Equillis platform, the ERS methodology, the derived scores, segmentation and all presentation of the intelligence remain our property. Your membership grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the platform for your own business purposes for the duration of your subscription.

8. Availability

We aim to keep the service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, data refreshes and third-party outages may cause temporary interruption.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Equillis is not liable for any loss of profit, loss of goods, business interruption, or indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the platform. Our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the subscription fees you paid in that period. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms or that puts the platform or its data at risk. You may close your account at any time.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the platform develops. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
